Permission slips for our Track and Field Day went home Thursday, May 21st. Please sign and return with your student. There is no cost for this field trip!

Please continue to keep an eye on your email for announcements regarding our ropes course field trip on June 2nd. Mrs. Zvara has been sending information regarding waivers, gloves, chaperones, etc., so please make sure to read through each of those announcements!

As we wrap up the school year, please be sure to check FastDirect with your student to identify any missing work!

Starting Friday, May 1, students are allowed to wear shorts to school for the rest of the school year.  Shorts must be mid-thigh length or longer and may have a decorative frayed hem.  Spandex, biker shorts, cutoffs (jeans or sweatpants), torn shorts, tight or short shorts, and athletic shorts are not permitted.  Students in PreK-4th grade may wear athletic shorts on non-chapel days with the understanding that they are mid-thigh length or longer.

5/6 Spring Field Trip Information:

TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2026: SAVE THE DATE! Each year, our middle school classes also do a fun/educational field trip in the spring. This year, our students will be participating in a ropes course. We will use this field trip for multiple purposes: it will challenge many students both physically & mentally, it will require students to take risks, problem solve and to work together to achieve some of the challenges. It will be a fun opportunity for this group of kids to bond with each other and build their social community. This field trip will also offer us an opportunity to revisit/reteach some of the lessons from our Kindness Retreat while it offers the kids a platform where they can put these lessons into practice.  Ropes courses often present an opportunity for kids to “see each other in a different light”/setting, which often presents strengths & fears that we often don’t learn about in our classroom. It offers students opportunities to show respect to one another, to lead & encourage those around them. We will plan to have a picnic lunch outside if weather permits. 

We have a limited number of “climbing” chaperones, but unlimited non-climbing chaperones.  If you are interested, please save the date.

Changes to the homework/test corrections policy for Ms. Schulz’s classes: Homework may be corrected using a different color for ½ points back. Tests and quizzes will be ineligible for corrections. All corrections must be completed within 1 week of the assignment being sent home in brown envelopes.
