Week of May 11th

I am hopeful the spring weather continues to move us along with sunshine and warmer days! We have been so blessed to be in a space this year with gorgeous windows that allow the sun to shine brightly on us without being outside; we would like the actual outdoor time without coats, though.

Looking ahead to what’s coming:

Students are allowed to wear shorts to school for the rest of the school year.  Shorts must be mid-thigh length or longer and may have a decorative frayed hem.  Spandex, biker shorts, cutoffs (jeans or sweatpants), torn shorts, tight or short shorts, and athletic shorts are not permitted.  Students in PreK-4th grade may wear athletic shorts on non-chapel days with the understanding that they are mid-thigh length or longer.  When the weather is cold, like it was on May 1, students should be dressed appropriately to go outside for recess. **just a friendly reminder 🙂

MAP TESTING THIS WEEK AND NEXT!

Madison Field Trip on Tuesday May 19th. It is an all day, one on one field trip. Please plan to leave promptly on the bus at 8am with great walking shoes, a sack lunch, and a positive attitude 🙂

Wax Museum is planned for Friday May 29th. This will give students a chance to prepare their speeches and to gather their costumes. We plan to be read and on display in the FLC from 9a- 10:15a. Come see us in action-ish.

Memory work is: Tues May 12th: who has redeemed me, a lost and condemned person, purchased and won me from all sins, from death, and from the power of the devil; not with gold or silver, but with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death,

Friday May 15th: Luther’s Evening Prayer: I thank You my Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ your dear Son that you have graciously kept me this day. And I pray that You would forgive me all my sins where I have done wrong, and graciously keep me this night. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen.
