This week and following break, we celebrate the miracle and joy of Easter morning!  God kept his promise to the world, and Jesus died on the cross and was the “winner” over sin. We’re experts at counting to 3 and will really celebrate that after 3 days Jesus rose again after dying on the cross and now is in heaven. “Sin was the bad news, but Jesus is the good news!”  We are happy that someday we will get to go to heaven and be with Him!  2K will learn a song called Do you know who died for me?  over the next few weeks that goes along with this topic. 2 Pre-K will read the Easter Bible story and include An Easter Prayer by Amy Parker and Peppas’ Easter Eggs for fun.  We will begin our songs sticks again at circle time. Our giraffe puppet will also make a visit to help sing with us. Some new Easter songs will either get recorded and sent or we’ll at least send the words home.   2k will make a special decoration for Easter and play some easter theme games for shape, letter, and color matching.  We have a mini Easter storybook for each student to bring home to share the Easter message with family.  A listening game will be played where we find either an Easter shape or color when to music stops. We can even share a space with a friend. 🙂

Home and school connection:

Following spring break we will begin doing the “calendar” at circle time. We will practice by using the same Calendar our 3 and 4 pre-K classes use found on the free site starfall.com. March 30-April 6  Spring & Easter Break! ! 

We will have an Easter egg hunt with the residents over at providence place the week we return from break– Wednesday and Thursday near the end of class. If raining, we will do it inside over there in their lobby area They love stuffing and hiding the eggs in their back patio area for us. All we have to do is walk over. . I will have permission slips printed and ready for you to sign quick at drop off since it technically is off of school campus. Thank you!

Thursday May 7th-muffins with mom- We’ll be partnered with Mrs. Werner’s T,TH 3K class for fun activities with moms and grandmas, aunts. More details to come. 

Sunday, May 10- 2 pre-K sings with 3 and 4 pre-k in church at the 10:30a.m.  service. Our song is called” L-O-V-E love that’s why”
