This week 2K meets one of my blow-up letter people, Mr. T.  He has some pretty big teeth and they are going to be in need of some brushing. We will also brush some paste off of laminated  paper teeth. Some of our favorite letters will be revealed as we brush. 🙂  We will continue with some Valentine projects and decorate our bags for the party and valentine deliveries next week Tuesday.  At circle time we will meet “toothy monster” ( much like our shape monster). She eats the 1st letters of our names. We will hide both teeth and heart cut-outs in the gym. Students will help sort them as we find them. 

Jesus time: 2K will talk about why God made our teeth- so we can eat, chew, talk, and spread happiness. Now that’s something to smile about. We also have a Bible verse picture to make as we think about how God loves us, not just around Valentine’s day, but everyday! Last week your child brought home a little valentine box. We have pictures of the class in mine, and we sing a special good morning song for whose picture I pull out.. I mentioned that at home they could put pictures of people they love in theirs, and take out one picture at a time, say a little prayer in thanks / for that person and give them a surprise phone call.

Feb. 15- 2k class Valentine Party. Students may bring in Valentines. We have 11 friends. They do not need other students’ names on, just share/discuss with your child the letters of their own name as you write/help them write it on .
