“For to us is born, to us a son is given. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Our focus this month for Jesus Time will be on God’s Special Message for Mary, John the Baptist is Born, Jesus the Savior is Born, The Wise Men and God Keeps Jesus Safe From Herod. In Math, we will be strengthening our number concepts. In Reading, we will be focusing on the letter sounds, sounding out words, and rhyming.
The Lutheran Junior Honor Society is collecting clothing, winter coats, hats, and gloves as well as toiletry items for Bob’s Under the Bridge, an organization that directly ministers to the homeless. Items are currently being collected at school until December 20th.
December Book-It Goal: 18 books
Please remember in the winter months if snow is on the ground, boots and snowpants need to be worn to go outside on the snow. Please also remember to include hats, mittens, and an extra pair of socks(I have found this to be helpful because of the 2 recesses). PLEASE LABEL WITH NAME AT HOME. We go outside for recess as long as the temperature is above 0 degrees with wind chill. Thank you for your help.
