Week of December 13, 2021

Dear Parents,

We are in our last full week of school before break.  Christmas is almost here where we can celebrate the coming of Savior Jesus.

The Christian Character Formation Project theme for this week is Respect.  We will be looking at the story of John Baptizing Jesus.

Keep reading for the Pizza Hut Reading Rewards program Book It.  Be sure to fill out the reading accomplishments each day.

We have been talking about how to read nonfiction books in Reading.  This next week we will start researching a nonfiction topic.  The students will get their topic on Monday.  They will get to work with a partner to gather information on that topic and to put it into a Google Slides presentation to present to the class.  One thing that could help with this is if you can help them find books at the library for them to gather information.  We will be working all week on gathering the information and putting it into a presentation to share with the class the following week.

A reminder that  December 22 is a dismissal at 11:40 am.  There will be no lunch served that day.

A reminder that the gift that will be exchanged at our Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 22 must be brought to school on Friday, December 17.  If you want to bring it earlier you can.  Girls should bring a gift for a girl and boys should bring a gift for a boy.  The value of the gift should be $5.00-$7.00.
