This week 2K explores shapes around us and some familiar shapes of Christmas.  We will meet “shape monster” who likes to eat shapes, and make one of our own.  We have some new shape manipulatives to play with and share.  On the way to the gym Thursday 2K will have a shape hunt.  We even have a fun snowman shape project to create.  Shaving cream was a hit last month, so we’ll draw shapes in some and trace shapes too.

Jesus time: 2K will read some of our Christmas board books and work on our Christmas song sung to the tune of “Mary had a little lamb”. I will send you the words in case they start singing it at home. 🙂 

Important dates:

*Star of the week will resume after Christmas break. Thank you for sharing snacks with the class 1st trimester.  It’s so fun to watch them all eat together.

Sat. Dec.18th- come share in the joy of Jesus’ birth watching our 3K- Kindergarten friends at their Christmas service. at 9:00/10:30 A great learning and worship experience for our 2K friends. We’ll start going to chapel on Thursdays after Christmas break too. 

Tues. Dec. 21- 2K class Christmas party . We’ll have a wrapped book exchange with our friends.
