Week of April 5th- “Eggcelent” animals- “Oviparous”

This week in 2K, we will discover more animals that hatch from eggs besides chicks.  We have some fun egg-themed games and a Oviparous count and tally project we’ll work on one-at-a-time with teachers. Books this week include “The Golden Egg” – by Margaret Wise Brown, and “Feathers for Lunch” by Lois Ehlert.  2K will also start 1 of 2 Easter art projects this week. One we’ll keep for home , and the other we invite you to share with a neighbor or family member to share the good news of Easter.

Jesus time: We will continue singing “Do you know who died for me?”… rose for me… waits for me.” We will talk about the new life God makes when animals hatch from eggs. The “mystery bag” will have a mirror in it. We’ll take turns peeking inside to see “someone Jesus loves and saves from sin”- ourselves!.  🙂

Gym: running, egg balancing, and an “Easter shapes” floor game.

  • Below are some fun color and pattern recognition games we’ll be doing the next couple weeks.
