This week our theme is “Super Shapes.” Children should bring a shape in the brown bag they were given last week. We will talk about them on Wednesday. Thanks for your help! We will begin learning different shapes as we continue to prepare for Christmas. The letter for the week is “Rr” for rectangle.  The children will meet “Mat Man.” He is made up of many shapes. He will help them learn shapes as well as how to draw a person. Since there are a lot of shapes and there is much preparation for Christmas, we will continue our shape study throughout this year.

Monday will be the first day that we go into the church for our Christmas service practice. We will continue to learn words for songs and fingerplays. The children are doing a great job.

Our Bible lesson is “Jesus is Born.” God cares for us so much that He sent Jesus to save all people from their sins.

Each class will be having a Christmas party in our room. The PM Class will have their party on Monday, December 20th and the AM Class will have their party on Tuesday, December 21st. During the parties, we will be having a gift exchange between the children.  Girls are asked to bring a girl’s gift and boys are asked to bring a boy’s gift. Please spend around $5.00. The gifts should be labeled “girl” or “boy” and who they are from to avoid any confusion.  They may be brought in at any time before the party.  We will need just a few things for the party. Room parents will let you know if anything is needed.
