This week we will investigate and learn about the wonderful world of music through the theme “Sounds Like Fun”. We will see and hear instruments and learn to distinguish between the sounds that they make.
We will practice the letter “U” for ukulele in our letter journals and talk about rhyming words through the song “Down by the Bay”. We will be making kazoos and playing them as we tap our ABC’s. If you have any extra toilet paper rolls, please bring them in for this project on Wednesday or Thursday. Our Bible Lesson will be David the Singing Shepherd from 1 Samuel 16:1-13. We will talk about how God has given us all gifts that we should use to praise Him.
I sent home a thankful Turkey for you to complete for our Bible Lesson next week. Please fill it in with pictures or words and return it Nov. 15 or 16. The kids will be sharing them during our Bible lesson time.
We will be celebrating all that God has blessed us with by having a Thanksgiving Feast with other PreK and Kindergarten friends. A note was sent home explaining what your child should bring to share for the Festivities! You can bring your item early if it is nonperishable.
In the past, parents were invited to join us, but due to Covid, we are not able to have guests at this time. We will keep you updated if this changes. Thank you for your cooperation!
Please also note our upcoming Christmas Service in December, along with our practice date on Friday! I will be sending home some things that you can practice with your child in preparation for this special service.
Come be a part of our 1st WHOLE SCHOOL BOOK CLUB! We will be reading “The Family Under the Bridge”. The book is 95 pages and all ages will enjoy reading it. You can set your own time and schedule to read as a family. If you would like to participate, please fill out the permission slip attached to the Echo. Mrs. Gieschen will send home a bag DECEMBER 1st with the book and some treasures to help you have some discussions and fun while you read.
