Christ’s Kingdom in Motion
Updates
I hope you had the chance to hear about the Courage Retreat this past Thursday. While I was in the gym, I had the opportunity to see everyone, adults and students, reflect on those moments in life that truly do require courage: offering sincere apologies and genuine forgiveness; opening ourselves to those we may not know as well and especially to those who need to know they are welcome as they are; taking a stand for not only what is right, but in those moments, speak confidently about the source of knowing what is right – our faith in Jesus; and recognizing that all people have been created by a loving God, including ourselves, and it was he who decided what gifts the world needed through us. The day was truly inspirational, and the leaders were right. The work to grow in and share courage begins today and continues. I pray daily for my students, and I ask that we as a St. Paul community would also. I know we will see the Holy Spirit at work as all of us cover each one of these kids! 🙂
Thank you in advance for the support you are offering each other through the worshipping, fundraising, and community-building efforts this weekend. As K – 8 sings, it is outreach. He will equip us and empower us because of who he is and what he gives — love. The picnic also is such a good way to develop and grow relationships within our church and school community.
