Mrs. Yurk’s Weekly Update

Christ’s Kingdom in Motion

Updates

Our devotion this week was based on the following scripture verses:  Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 16:8; Psalm 34:14; John 14:27; John 16:33; and Romans 8:6.  Through our readings and discussions, we were once again reminded that we were created by a God who IS love, and before the world even began, he knew to put each of us here at this time and in this place.  When we use that knowledge as our foundation, it helps us see that he is the source of peace.  I pray we all rely on that and stand confidently in his goodness.

Keep Sunday, September 13th, on your calendars.  That’s next weekend already!  Families who may sign up for the fundraising opportunity, please see the email from Mr. Yurk.  The church picnic has been such a fun event that brings together our church and school families, celebrating the one community we are.  Grades K – 8 also sing at the 11:00 service.   So many in our congregation truly appreciate the opportunity to see the students that they willingly support.

Please also refer to the email from Mr. Wellna regarding additional space available on our buses for the Washington, D.C. trip.  Background checks are also required and should be completed as soon as possible. 🙂
