Mrs. Yurk’s Weekly Update

Ever Faithful. Ever His.

Updates

Thank you for all the notes of encouragement during MAP testing.  We realize that focusing for any length of time is challenging, especially when the students are being challenged with each question.  However, I did see the notes help them realize how much they are loved for who they are, and please, if you see Mrs. Gieschen, will you please pass along thanks.  She created a theme for the weeks of MAP testing:  “Donut Worry.”  The hallways were decorated and signs were posted.  She also gave each student a “donut” pencil with an encouraging Bible passage taped to each.  Finally, today, she gave each child two mini doughnuts.  She poured a lot of time into this week, all for the sake of the kids.  She will be missed as she retires!

Graduation

  • Please be looking for updates from Ashley Brooks regarding the ways we can help with hosting the reception.  Before we know it, June will be here … before you know it, it will be next June! 🙂
  • If you are able to help decorate after closing chapel, please reach out to Ashley.

Track and Field Day:  Mr. Kell sent out a Sign-Up link for volunteers.  If you’re able to help, I know there are some spots that still need to be filled.  The Track-and-Field Day picnic order forms are due back on Tuesday, May 19th, as Mr. Yurk and LJHA need to begin shopping for supplies.
