WOW! It’s hard to believe that this is our final week of 3 Pre-K! We will spend time completing projects and wrapping up our classroom activities. Our Summer Birthday celebration will be on Wednesday, May 27th and Thursday May 28th. This is a fun snack time event where we sing happy birthday to all of our classmates who will be celebrating their birthdays in the summer and celebrate all of the accomplishments that we have made this year! Our final day of school will be on Friday, May 29th. We will be having a closing service and celebrate all of the accomplishments that the kids have made this year! The MWF AM Class & TTh AM Class will have their closing service at 8:30, and the MWF PM Class will have their closing service at 10:00. The service will last about 30-40 minutes with a short chapel message, songs sung by the kids and a chance for you to take photos of your child. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Grandparents and other guests are welcome to come as well! Children should meet in the classroom.
Thank you all for such a fantastic school year! I have enjoyed partnering with you, and I am so proud of all of the accomplishments that each one of your children have made! It is amazing to look back to August and realize how much they have grown! I am so thankful for the special memories that we have created in class together! I hope to see you in church this summer or around in the community!
Last week we had fun making ice cream and eating our yummy creation! The kids said that it was delicious. Here is the recipe if you would like to make it at home!
For each child, you will need:
1 small (snack size) Ziploc bag
1 large (gallon size) Ziploc bag or plastic container with a screw-on lid
½ cup whole milk
1Tablespoon sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla
2 cups table salt
1 spoon
In the small bag, combine the milk, sugar, and vanilla. Securely seal the bag. In the large bag or plastic screw top container, combine the ice and the salt. Put the small bag inside and securely seal or screw on the cover. Shake the bag until the mixture thickens. Use your spoon and enjoy!
