May 18th

Many things are coming your way this month. Thank you for embarrassing the chaos and rolling with the inundation of emails and forms! I sincerely appreciate your partnership.

This week is indeed our big Madison field trip. I am looking forward to the day and am hopeful it is a trip to remember for you and your child. The day is full and begins right at 8a. You ARE welcome to come to the classroom around 745 to drop off your lunch and to be here and ready for a few final instructions. Please be sure your attire and your students attire is dress code appropriate. Plan to walk A LOT and also sit A LOT (the bus ride is ya know, like 2ish hours). Sack lunches and non caffeinated drinks for students and chaperones (though chaperones can have caffeinated beverages 🙂). Small handbags are fine, but teachers are the only ones allowed with backpacks. As a reminder, we leave promptly and will return likely around 5p.

Band and Choir concert follow this Tuesday trip on Thursday. There is a concert for the school (and any adults who want to attend an abbreviated concert in the morning)Please be certain your child is dressed accordingly per the email from Ms. Bremer/ Mrs. Young. They are welcome to bring additional clothes to change into after. Thanks!

Looking a week ahead then, we will be on display as Wax Museum figures. We have worked and will continue to prepare ourselves for this featured debut. Please come and enjoy the show on May 29th.

The last field trip of the year is to Horicon Marsh. The 3rd and 4th graders get to enjoy a day in God’s creation. Sack lunches that day as well. More information to come soon-ish.

Beloved track and field day is upon us as well. Please be sure to sign up to help run events so the day can be enjoyed by all our students both on and off campus. And don’t forget the cherished hotdog lunch!! Forms were sent home already.

This coming week we will review all the spelling patterns and use spelling games to practice. There will be no more tests from me. The worksheets and games will serve as the points for the remainder of the spelling grades.

Memory work is as follows: Fri May 22nd: 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

**Nothing on Tuesday due to the Madison trip.

Please note, too, there is a half day of school on Friday May 22nd and no school Monday May 26th due to Memorial Day.

Blessings on your weekend. See you at worship!
