March 28 – April 1, 2022 Nuts About Numbers

This week our theme is “Nuts about Numbers.”   In our letter journals, we will be working on the letter “C” for count.  We will practice writing both the letter C and the numbers 0-5.  We will also work on number recognition and counting through books and activities.  We will go on a number hunt through the school and look for the numbers 1-10. We will count and look at the pictures in the book 10 Black Dots by Donald Crews.  Then, we will have a chance to count some dots and make our own pictures. Our Bible story this week is Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man from Matthew 9:1-8.  We will talk about how Jesus has the power to heal and forgive sins.

I will not be in class on Friday. I will be in California visiting my son and attending one of his concerts.

Mrs. Schumacher will be teaching for me, along with Mrs. Hallett.

Please also remember that as the weather gets warmer, we will be going outside for fresh air! Please make sure that your child has proper clothes to be outside – a warm coat and hat if necessary.

The 3PreK classes will be celebrating Easter on Wednesday, April 13th and Thursday, April 14th. We will be going on an Easter Hunt, and we will need your help to make it a fun event. We are asking for donations of small items by Monday April 11th or Tuesday April 12thto contribute to the hunt. You can donate anything small, for example, Pencils, PlayDoh, Bubbles, Chalk, Plastic Eggs filled with candy or a toy, etc. Please bring 14 of your items so that all of the kids in the class are looking for the same things. Your donation is greatly appreciated and the kids will be sure to have a great time.

The preschool and kindergarten pajama party is scheduled for April 22nd. The theme will be “Bluey”. Watch for more details coming soon.
