Dear 8th Grade Parents and students,
End of the year 8th Grade Celebration Day: We are excited to share a new idea for celebrating our graduating 8th grade class this year — an 8th Grade Farewell Parade! To help make our students feel honored and celebrated as they finish their final year at our school, we will be hosting a special parade on: Thursday, June 4 at 2:30 PM
Location: Begin at the west entrance/exit of the church and proceed west on the sidewalk and walk south and east into the carport entrance. -If inclement weather, the lower level of the middle school will be used. Students and staff are invited to line the sidewalks and cheer on the Class of 2026 as we celebrate their accomplishments, memories, and time at our school. We hope this will be a fun and meaningful way to send them off with encouragement and love from our entire school community. Parents, you too can come to cheer on your eighth grader. We realize many of you will not be there, but know that we will cheer loudly for all of them as they parade by. I have not had a chance to talk to the eighth grade about this, so if you mention it to them, they may appear confused.
Graduation Gift: I am extending the time for contributions. If you plan to contribute, please have your contribution in by Friday, May 29. Checks may be made out to St. Paul. If you use Venmo, please add a note that it is for the 2026 class gift. You should also tell me that you used Venmo, so I can give the office a heads up. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your support.
Servant Day is June 2. Students should wear their class shirts this day. (they may wear their shirts any day, but for sure this day) I am in the progress of organizing lunch for this day. I will be getting that information out on Tuesday, May 26.
The Track-and-Field Day is June 4. A permission slip was handed out to ride the bus to Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Please sign and return this permission slip by Friday, May 29. No money is needed.
Graduation: June 5 at 6:30. Dress code for graduation: Boys: Dress pants, shirt and tie, dress shoes. Girls: Dress or blouse with dress pants, dress shoes or sandals. Dresses should have straps not the thin kind like spaghetti straps. If they don’t, a cover up needs to be worn. If you did not receive the letter from Mr. Yurk, would you please email me? I will make sure you get a copy.
