From the Desk of Mrs. Schumann March 4 – March 11

Dear 8th Grade Parents and Students,

The Red Winged Blackbirds are back in Wisconsin.  That’s a sure sign winter is over.  I’m so excited for spring.  It’s also time to start the third trimester.  Hold onto your hats, this trimester will fly by quickly.

8th Grade Graduation Video– We are looking for a parent or two to put together a graduation video for graduation night.  This video would consist of no more than six photos of each eighth grade student.  Parents would pick out the photos and email them to the person who volunteered to put the pictures together for a video.  If this is your gift, now is the time to show off your skills.  Those of you who are interested, please contact me as soon as possible and for those of you who need a date, Friday, March 11.

Lenten Dinner March 9: Can you believe our Lenten Dinner is on Wednesday?  I’ve got lots of shopping to do!!  If you signed up to boil noodles or fry ground beef, those supplies will be sent home on Monday.  Please remember to return your cooked items on Tuesday morning, or if you are helping on Tuesday night, you may bring the items at that time.  It looks like we have almost all the spots filled.  If you are looking for a way to help out, we could use a few more desserts. 

World of Discovery Fine Arts Fair Projects:  I still need about 66% about the forms returned from the eighth graders.  So I’m attaching the form to my email just in case your child lost their sheet.  I kindly ask that this form is returned by Monday. Thank you.

Family Day Survey:  Please fill out the Family Day survey I sent out to you by Sunday evening.  It’s pretty simple.  Is your kid going to be here or not?  That type of thing.  The middle school is trying to figure out the schedule and make sure we aren’t packed in rooms like sardines.

Class of 2022 T-shirts:  I’m including in my weekly email, order forms for the Class of 2022 t-shirt.  Please fill out and return by Thursday with your payment.  If you need a copy of the sheet, I will send it home on Monday.  Thank you.

DC Update:  Have you taken care of your background check?  Remember that?  I kind of put this on the back burner the last few months.  All adults have to have a background check in order to go on the trip.  If you need to take care of this, please contact me via email and I will get the forms sent to you.
