For the Week of March 27

Dear Families,

Our week was exciting and fun!  You could almost smell Spring Break in the air.  We had a fire drill this week and the students were so quiet that you could hear the birds chirping! What a blessing from God! God is good, all the time.  All the time, God is Goood!

This Past Week:

This week we wrapped up our story of Moses and the Israelites wandering in the desert.  We learned about the Bronze Snake, which was a foreshadowing of Jesus dying on the cross as our Savior.   For Reading,  we wrapped up our unit on Character studies.  This Unit was so beneficial for the students.  Third grade is where the students read to learn and they are learning.  They are learning how Characters deal with conflict and life lessons.  They learn what the theme is that the author intended.  They learn how they can apply the lessons to their own lives. How Exciting!  I would suggest you have conversations about your little reader’s books and characters and maybe you will want to read the book next!  In Science, we will wrap up our Life Cycle and Traits unit.

Next week:

Christian Character Formation Project will be about Jesus Notices a Widow’s Giving. Our virtue is SELF-SACRIFICE: God’s power for you to give something up to help
others. We strive to answer the question: How can you give when you don’t have enough?

A peek ahead Lent continues on Wednesday night service. It is a joy to go worship our Lord in the middle of the week.   In math we will focus on more aspects of Multiplication. Many students are well on their way up the quest to become a Multiplication NINJA. I WANT ALL MATHEMATICIANS TO BE MULITIPLICATION NINJAS BY EASTER BREAK.  We will continue with our book clubs for one more week after break.   We continue in our unit in Science: Life Cycles and Traits.
