This Past Week:
This week we continued our study of Moses and God’s plan for him. We focused on how God has a plan for each of the students as well. I am using clips from the cartoon Prince of Egypt and the old 1956 movie the Ten Commandments to show some parts of the story. For Reading, we began an all class read, Ramona the Pest. The Readers are really enjoying the antics so far. In Science, we began a new unit on Climates.
Next week:
Christian Character Formation Project will be about Jesus Calming the Storm. This is the basis for our chapel on Wednesday. Our virtue is Courage: God’s power for you to overcome fear.
A peek ahead shows that our class is leading Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 2. (Parents are welcome to join in the balcony). In math we began MULTIPLICATION. (IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE A SET OF FLASH CARDS OF MULTIPLICATION FACTS AT HOME. Dollar Tree has some.) We continue with Ramona the Pest and then continue with Climates in Science.
