Wow, the students did a Fantastic job presenting Chapel on Wednesday!! I was very proud of them!
This Past Week:
This week we continued our study of Moses and God’s plan for him and how Pharaoh hardened his heart and wouldn’t let the Israelites leave so God sent 10 plagues. We focused on how God has a plan for each of the students as well. I am using clips from the cartoon Prince of Egypt and the old 1956 movie the Ten Commandments to show some parts of the story. For Reading, we wrapped up our all class read, Ramona the Pest. The Readers really thought she was a PEST. In Science, we investigated more about climates and discussed a little about Climate Change.
Next week:
Christian Character Formation Project will be about Jesus raising Jairus’s daughter from the dead. Our virtue is Courage: God’s power for you to overcome fear. We strive to answer the question: How can you trust Jesus with courageous faith even if a situation looks impossible?
A peek ahead shows that we have our FIELD TRIP to CUW on Tuesday. In math we continue with MULTIPLICATION and have begun our quest to become a Multiplication NINJA. (IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE A SET OF FLASH CARDS OF MULTIPLICATION FACTS AT HOME. Dollar Tree has some.) We begin our new UNIT: Character Studies. We will continue with Climates in Science.
