Fifth Grade Weekly Update…May 18-22, 2026

5th Grade Families,

Happy Friday Everyone!

Only THREE weeks to go in this school year. I want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make my birthday so special this past week – I LOVED all of the cards, notes, gifts, and treats. 🙂  I am also GRATEFUL for all of the forms that were filled out and returned this week – I know there is a LOT to juggle in MAY, so thank you for getting those items back to school so quick as we plan for a FUN last couple of weeks of school.  MAP testing will be completed this coming week.  The list of important dates is getting shorter. Please help your child check FastDirect at the end of this weekend and encourage your child to turn in all missing work as soon as possible. Please note that there is a HALF DAY of school this FRIDAY for Memorial Day weekend and then we are off on Monday of course.

  • June 7: MSY Event 4-6pm – 5th graders invited!

INFORMATION/UPDATES:

🏃👟TRACK & FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We will need help to run our events for the grades 3-8 track and field day May 29th. Please use the link below to sign up.  You will need to be at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School at 8:45 and we will start events at 9:00.  Events should wrap up around 11:30. There are a number of different spots where we need help. 🌭🍉End-of-Year School Picnic: It is our tradition here at St. Paul to have an all-school picnic on Track and Field Day.  This year Track and Field Day is scheduled for Thursday May 29th.  The picnic will include a hot dog, watermelon, chips, bottled water and a dessert.  To plan for the picnic you will need to sign-up and pay for lunch.  Parents who will be here at school that day are encouraged to join us.  Each lunch will cost $2.00.  Additional hotdogs can be purchased for $1.00 each.  Please note, this lunch is not in conjunction with the 

5/6 Spring Field Trip Information: 🪢 TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2026: SAVE THE DATE! Each year, our middle school classes also do a fun/educational field trip in the spring.  CHAPERONES NEEDED!  We will be looking for FIVE adult chaperones from each homeroom to meet us in Kenosha.
