Fifth Grade Weekly Update…March 14-18, 2022

5th Grade Families,

Report cards were printed and sent home this week.  If your child receives an incomplete (usually due to absences), it is important for him/her to touch base with each teacher as soon as possible and complete all of the necessary work to wrap up the trimester.  A report card will be printed once all work is done and grades are complete.  Friday is FAMILY DAY!  Spring break will be next week – the kids are counting the days!

Welcome to the 3rd and final trimester of the 2022-23 school year. It’s going to FLY BY!  So many fun events are planned for this trimester including March Madness, Family Day, Spring Break, Musical, Map Testing, Fine Arts Fair, Easter Break, Kindness Retreat, Madison Trip, Track and Field Day and I am sure there is more I am leaving out. We are blessed to be able to gather once again and for the many opportunities to make fun fifth grade memories!

INFORMATION/UPDATES:

Grades 3-5 MUSICAL: Livin’ Inside Out is our Gr. 3-5 musical – coming to you live on April 29!  My goal is to get every 5th grader to have either a spoken line or sing a solo/small group. Students should begin thinking about which type of part they would prefer.  Parts will be assigned soon.

World of Discovery Fair:  Students should be continuing work on their WODF Projects.  Students have only about 4 more weeks to complete this project and should put a significant amount of time and effort into this project throughout that time period. Students will be graded by a panel of judges and awards will be given in each category.  We can’t wait to see our students’ show off their artistic talents & gifts!
