We will wrap up our space systems unit by studying patterns in constellations. We will make a Planisphere (star chart) and use it to determine what constellations can be seen in our night sky at different times of day & year. Once our space systems unit is complete, we will NOT have a unit test on space systems. Students had several essay assignments throughout this unit that served to assess their learning. Midweek, we will leave our space exploration to begin our 5th unit on “Earth’s Systems” (Topic 3 in our textbook). We will begin exploring an overview of the FOUR systems of Earth and more importantly. We will then continue a deeper dive into each of those systems, one at a time. The major goal of our unit is to explore HOW Earth’s systems interact with and affect one another. No major tests/projects are planned. As always, you can keep up with our day to day assignments and any changes to this schedule at https://stpaul5thscience.blogspot.com/
