Director Notes 12/12
Hello Families,
This week we talked about Advent and stories from the Bible leading to Jesus’ Birth. Next week, our PreK friends will learn about Christmas around the world- specifically Germany, Denmark, England/Ireland, Netherlands, and Mexico. We will also celebrate the last day before break with a movie nap on Friday. The movie will be The Star.
Drop Off Changes: Before School Care: Starting Jan 5th, our entrance procedures will be changing. To help enhance the security of our building and limit open door access, the classroom door from the lobby will remain closed and locked. Parents will have access to enter the school through their fob as normal, but then you will also use your fob to enter the South Hallway Doors, drop off belongings (big kids will use empty cubbies across from Extended Care) before entering the classroom from the hallway. The QR code to sign in and lunch sticks (PreK) will be moved to that door as well. The same reminder will be sent out next week and prior to our return on Jan 5th.
Pick Up Changes: After School Care: Starting Jan 5th our pickup procedures will be changing similar to those above for before care. (On bad weather days, big kids will still be upstairs until 4:15) To help enhance the security of our building and limit open door access, the classroom door from the lobby will remain closed and locked. (With the exception of 2:55-3:20 ish for typical end of school day pickups). Parents will have access to enter the school through their fob as normal, but then you will also use your fob to enter the South Hallway Doors, pick up all belongings (big kids will use empty cubbies across from Extended Care) before entering the classroom from the hallway. The QR code to sign out will be moved to that door as well. The same reminder will be sent out next week and prior to our return on Jan 5th.
If you have schedule changes next week as the last week before break, please make sure to communicate with Extended Care and the school office. Thanks!
Have a wonderful weekend and good luck to all the PreK / Kindergarteners at their program tomorrow.
