What an amazing first week of school we had! The kids are starting to learn the names of their new friends and our classroom routines. We had fun singing songs, painting and playing with our new classmates!
This week, we will spend time learning about the wonderful body that God created for us throughout this week. We will talk about our bones, muscles, and how our bodies help us learn about the world around us. Mat Man will help us learn about our body through a fun song about our bodies. We will practice the letter “X” for X-ray as we learn about our bones.
Our Bible lesson will be Jesus Knows My Name from Isaiah 43:1. We will talk about how Jesus loves us, cares for each one of us, and created us all very unique and special!
I sent home Scholastic Book Order forms last week in your child’s folder. If you would like to order books, please use this link: https://clubs.scholastic.com/ Our class code is GLVNV. There is a larger selection of books available on the Scholastic website. Our class will receive free books with your orders!
Planning for the St. Paul Auction is underway. Mark your calendars for October 17th! The St. Paul Benefit Auction will be taking place in our Family Life Center under the theme “Roll Out the Red Carpet”. There will be an online silent auction before the night of the event, along with onsite silent auction items and a live auction. This is a fun-filled event that you don’t want to miss! If you would like to make a donation, or know of a business that would be willing to donate an item or money, please let me know!
