The theme, “Easter” will be our focus this week. The children will be introduced to the letter “Ee” for Easter and egg. Monday we will make a chick out of our milk cartons so we can collect our items on our Easter hunt. We also will be making a special resurrection roll on Thursday. Jesus will be wrapped up and when we bake our rolls, He will rise just as He did that first Easter. Be sure to ask your child how we did it.
Our Bible lessons will include “Jesus Is Put on the Cross” and “The Empty Tomb.” God sent his Son, Jesus, to suffer and die to save sinners. We thank Jesus for suffering pain and death on the cross to save us. Jesus rose from the dead, just as he said he would. We trust Jesus’ promise to give us life in heaven. What happy news this is for all of us!
Our classes will be celebrating Easter on Thursday, April 6th. We will be going on an Easter Hunt and need your help to make it a fun event. We are asking for donations of small items by Tuesday, April 4th. You can donate anything small, such as Pencils, Play-Doh, Bubbles, Chalk, Plastic Eggs filled with candy, or a toy. Please bring 15 of your item in the AM Class and 14 of your item in the PM Class so that all of the kids in the class are looking for the same things. Your donation is greatly appreciated and the kids will be sure to have a great time. THANKS for the things that have already come in. You can come to the classroom and take a peek if you’d like to know the things that we already have.
Please also remember that as the weather gets warmer, we will be going outside for fresh air! Please make sure that your child has proper clothes to be outside – a warm coat and hat if necessary.
