9/21

Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting your student as they grow this fourth grade year. It has been wonderful to see the students each morning with smiles and exciting things to share. I am thankful for the opportunity to come alongside you, your students and your families this school year.

Looking at the week upcoming, we have another 5 days of academics.

This week we will dig more into Exodus, making our way through the Promised Land: Canaan. We met our chapel family Kindergarten buddies and are looking forward to sitting together on Wednesday and again on Friday for our first Panther Pillar Character Time.

We have practiced our memory verses and will continue preparing our head and heart knowledge. The memory work sheets for the verses were printed and given to each student. Here is the reference:

Tues: Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Fri: James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

As we get to the middle of our week, we do have Math MAP testing. Please feel free to send a hard candy or some chewing gum in a labeled ziplock type bag. I will keep them and hand them out when we test. I still have baggies for several students! We will have two half hour sessions this week.

We will continue on in our Reading unit about Networks, this week moving into the genre of Magazine Articles.  We will also work toward preparing for our SPELLING TEST on Friday. I have given your students access to their worksheets and activities from in class time throughout the week. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me.

The Spelling pattern for the week will look at the following pattern: VCe (vowel, consonant, silent e) The list of words we will test on include: educate, participate, imitate, advertise, supervise, recognize, envelope, contribute, episode, survive

MATH TEST MONDAY!!

Each week as we close the week and look into the week ahead, our church provides multiple opportunities to rest and restore our bodies, minds and spirits through multiple worship times: Saturday evening at 5pm, Sunday morning at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am, and Monday evenings at 6:30pm. Come join me!

Blessings on your weekend. See you next week!
