We’re continuing reading The False Prince.  We’re exploring the literary element of theme — the reason an author writes a piece, the lesson about life he or she hopes readers gain.  In our novel, we’ve identified the importance of being oneself, looking to the needs of others before ourselves, and understanding that sometimes what needs to be done is more important than what we want to be done. There will be short reading assignments this week.
