The theme of our Lutheran Schools Week is “In All Things,” based on Colossians 1:15-20.  We teachers used this as our opening prayer this morning, and as I write this now, I pray the same words for all of us so that not only do we trust in his plans, but we also experience the true joy of knowing he is right here now and we will be with him in heaven:

Dear Jesus,

You are before all things, and in you all things hold together. For in you all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, making peace by your blood on the cross. (Colossians 1:17-20)
