Our reading of The Wednesday Wars  has deepened.  It now no longer is simply setting the stage (building background).  We now are experiencing fear and worry for those not with us, the depth of loss, and the incredible strength of friendship.  As Shakespeare has taught us:  “The quality of mercy is not strained” and compared with love, malice is a small and petty thing. Expect nearly daily reading, comprehension checks, and written responses.
