Looking ahead, our next literature unit will be a Jennifer Nielsen author study unit where students will choose from a number of novels to read continuously throughout the next three weeks or so. As in no way are students expected to purchase a book, Mrs. Lamm and I recommend that requests are made as soon as possible to the library. Grafton’s is currently under renovation, but it is still possible to request books from their website and pick them up at other local libraries. This link takes you to the FAQ page. We’d like to begin this new unit October 8th or 9th, so students should have their choice books with them at that time.
We shared this link with our classes on Friday, so students should have a top two or three choices. If you’d like, please feel free to open the link below and click on the book covers to peruse the author’s other pieces. Some novels are not options for us due to reading level and interest.
