This week, we will continue our 4th unit on “Systems in Space” (Topics 6 & 7 in our textbook). Students will wrap up our work with STARS. They will write their final CER writing assignment answering the question, “Why does the sun appear so bright (apparent magnitude), when it is a relatively small star (absolute magnitude)?” Then, we will spend some time focusing on our sun and how it compares to other stars in the Milky Way galaxy and beyond. We will review the planets in our solar system and classify them. Then, we will explore the force of gravity and its pull on objects on Earth. No major tests are planned. As always, you can keep up with our day to day assignments and any changes to this schedule at https://stpaul5thscience.blogspot.com/
