4th Grade Weekly Update (5/18-5/22)
Good afternoon, fourth grade families!

I find myself surprised every time I look at the calendar and see how close to the end of the year we are. The class has done well to stay on track and accomplish all we need to finish out the year strong. With the end of the year comes many exciting activities and updates:

  • Madison Trip: It’s finally time! Our Madison trip is next week. Please confirm with the school office that your background check has been processed completely to ensure that you are able to join our class on Tuesday. A more detailed note will be sent out on Monday outlining the schedule of the day. Please plan on packing a sack lunch and arriving at St. Paul at 7:50 for a prompt departure once attendance is taken. I also will, unfortunately, not be able to attend the Madison field trip with our group this year. Mrs. Mielke is excited to come back and attend with our group, though!
  • Spring Music Concert: The spring music concert is this upcoming Thursday. Our class is performing at 9am and 5:30pm.
  • Track and Field Day: A sign up went out for volunteers for Track and Field Day this week. I included the link if you are interested in helping out on June 4. Thank you for your time!  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4DABA92EAAFBCE9-64066946-track
  • Picnic Lunch: The Track-and-Field Day picnic order forms are due back on Tuesday, May 19th, as Mr. Yurk and LJHA need to begin shopping for supplies.  Thank you so much!  -LJHA
  • Wax Museum: Students are working hard on their wax museum projects, and are looking forward to sharing them with the school. You are welcome to attend and see the presentations, as well. This will take place on Friday, May 29 from 9-10:30 in the Family Life Center.
  • Memory: (No testing Tuesday due to our field trip)
    • For Thursday: (This will be tested as a fill in the blank- missing key words)

Third Article of the Apostles Creed and Explanation: I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

What does this mean? I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith…
