Our “Dinosaur” theme this week, will be continued from last week. We talked about where dinosaurs came from and made an egg to take home. Your child will be able to hatch their very own dinosaur! It will come home soon. You can crack it open and find the baby dinosaur. We will review the letter Dd and measure dinosaurs. The children will learn a song/dance about dinosaurs and play educational games.
Our Bible lesson will be “Jesus Changes Water into Wine.” Jesus uses His almighty power to give us what we need. We ask Jesus to give us what we need. This is the first miracle Jesus performed.
This week is Lutheran Schools week. We will be celebrating the blessings we daily receive from God through St. Paul. Feel free to participate in as many of our special days as you like. They are as follows:
Monday is “Team Cooper” Day. Cooper is a student in 4th grade who is having brain surgery on Monday. We will be praying for him in our class and encourage families to pray for him and his family. Monday is Wear Green Day – Cooper’s favorite color. Here is a picture of Cooper:

The February calendar, Valentine information and Scholastic Book Orders will be sent home this week. We will be having our classroom Valentine’s Day parties on Monday, February 14th . A Room Parent will be sending out a sign up for you to donate an item for our party. Please use the “heart labels” that will be sent home for their valentines. They can cut them apart and glue or tape them to the front of their valentines. I would like them to try to write their name on the back of their cards to sign them. This may take some kids awhile, so try to do a couple at a time. The kids will be delivering their valentines to their friends by using the numbers on the labels. They will be matching the numbers and letter in their name to the correct Valentine Mailbox. We will be making their Valentine Mailbox at school, so no need to work on that at home.
You may order your books through the website www.scholastic.com and use the Code GM9CM, or you may fill out the forms on the back of the flyers and return it to me with a check to “Scholastic Books” and I will order them for you. Book orders are due on Friday. February 4th.
The preschool and kindergarten pajama party has been postponed and rescheduled for April 22nd. The theme will be “Bluey”. Watch for more details coming in April.
