May 6-10, 2024 Safety Smart

This week we will be learning about different ways that we can be safe at home and at school.  We will take time to talk and learn about playground safety!   We will practice the letter “X” in our letter journals by putting an “X” over the pictures of things that are not safe. Our Bible lessons will be Jesus Teaches Peter to Trust from Matthew 14. We will talk about how we can trust Jesus in times of trouble.

We are excited for our Day with Mom event on May 10th. It will be a special day filled with activities, crafts and a special snack! The day will begin in our classroom and end at our normal class times.

We will be singing in church on May 12th at the 9:30 am service. The kids should sit with you and the Pastor will call them up to sing. The kids have been practicing the song and are ready to praise Jesus through their special music.

Our end of the year field trip will be at Roden Barnyard Adventures on Monday May 20th and Tuesday May 21st. We will be taking a bus and be gone during their normal class time. Permission slips were sent home last week. Parents or other adults are welcome to come along with your child. Please return your permission slip with payment ($13.00 per person) by Friday May 17th.

Our Summer Birthday celebration will be on Wednesday May 22nd and Thursday May 23rd. This is a fun snack time event where we sing happy birthday to all of our classmates who will be celebrating their birthdays in the summer! Here are the links to sign up for items to bring:
