Katelyn is excited to be serving her third year at St. Paul as a
first grade teacher. She is a 2013 graduate from Concordia
University Nebraska with a degree in Elementary Education.
Prior to joining the St. Paul staff, Katelyn taught a year of
preschool at Peace Lutheran in Waverly, NE. Currently, she is
working towards a Masters in Literacy from Concordia University
Wisconsin. Katelyn is passionate about sharing God's love with her
students and she strives to create a learning environment that is
active, engaging, and fun. She also enjoys finding new ways to
incorporate technology to increase learning.
Katelyn is married to her husband Bobby who teaches music at
Living Word Lutheran High School. When not at school she enjoys
spending time with family and friends, exploring trails, cooking,
"Pinning," and participating in music activities.
To be a teacher in a Lutheran school is to have the
opportunity to share the love of Christ and be a blessing to
children and their families. My goal as a teacher is to develop
positive relationships with every student so that I can best serve
their needs. My classroom is a safe place where each child is
challenged, encouraged, and loved.
