March 7th - 13th

Maybe it's just me, but it feels like this year is really flying by.  Summer seems so long ago at this point.  We are already starting our 3rd trimester.  Grades will start fresh this week.  Let's have an awesome last few weeks before Spring Break.

Here is a note from National Junior Honor Society.

Dear Students and Families,

Because of your generosity through our hot chocolate donations, we have raised nearly $300 for Denison's tuition.  We are truly thankful for your thoughtfulness.  Please know that each donation carries with it possibilities for Denison, for his classmates, and for many in Haiti.

We are just shy of our goal to fully support him for another year of school, and we'd still like to be able to sponsor another child through Building Hope in Haiti.  As we discover more ways to be of service, we may reach out to you again.

Should you wish to find out more about Building Hope, please go to the website below.

Again, we thank you for giving.  As we have said all year here at St. Paul:  Together we are more than conquerors through Christ.

In Christ,

Members of St. Paul's National Lutheran Junior Honor Society,  Mr. Fischer, and  Mrs. Yurk

John 12:13 ~ They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the king of Israel!"

Journal Entry #12 - DUE March 12th

In the Old Testament, God wanted believers to give one-tenth (10%) of what they had as an offering (a tithe). Sometimes people generously gave more! In the story of the widow's offering Jesus said the widow's offering was better than the offering the rich people gave. Why? How do you think Jesus wants us to give our offerings? Do our offerings always have to be money? What else could they be?
