The Crossover: We're finishing the novel this coming week and showing our understanding of its message through writing poetry in response.

We'll begin our writing project, a formal essay, focusing on an issue facing our environment, society, or personal health.  Research will be required.   Assignments will be on Google Classroom.

Vocabulary:

Unit 10 building understanding activities this week; definition test on Thursday, March 11th; spelling test on Friday, March 12th

Religion:

What a great week we had with sunshine and warmer temperatures! Hopefully both of these things will help to raise everyone's spirits over the next few weeks. As we continue to walk through the season of Lent I would like to continue to encourage you and your family to take this time to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus on Good Friday and the HOPE that we find in His resurrection on Easter morning.

We are finishing up our study of the Apostles' Creed. Our focus is the third article of the creed - I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. Once finished (either late this week or early next) we will have our test on the Apostles' Creed.

Memory Quiz #22 - DUE March 11th (YURK) or 12th (KELL)

3rd Article of the Apostles Creed & Meaning (Part 3) ~ I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. What does this mean? On the Last Day He will raise me and all the dead, and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ. This is most certainly true.

Journal Entry #12 - DUE March 18th (YURK) or 19th (KELL)

The whole of what we believe as Christians centers on the death and resurrection of Jesus. Why does it matter the Jesus was raised from the dead? What would happen to us and our faith if this wasn't true?

Sermon Note #7 - DUE March 11th (YURK) or 12th (KELL)

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Blessings,

Mrs. Butz
