with. Choir families please bring 2 large bottles of juice for the
refreshments afterward. An email of details (pdf) was also
sent home before thanksgiving. Come join us!
3) Sun, Dec. 15 is the Jesus is the Reason for
the Season breakfast! The following was shared
by Mrs. Nichole Haas, who volunteered to coordinate music for the
Jesus Breakfast...
Performers Needed!! On Sunday, December 15th grades 3
& 4 will be hosting the Jesus is the Reason Breakfast from
8:45-10:45am. We are looking for children to assist with
entertainment. Your child can play an instrument or sing 1-3
Christmas songs by themselves or in small groups. Please note that
it should be well rehearsed. If your child has an interest in
performing a musical number (singing, piano, or other instrument),
please use the link to choose a time slot.

Your child will be responsible for showing up 5
minutes early for their performance and should be dressed festively
or have church attire. [Note: A piano, CD player, music stand and
microphone will be available.]
4) Piano Available for free/minimal cost. A
congregation member has an upright piano available and would love
to find a good home for it. This could be the Christmas gift for
your child taking lessons. Contact Peter directly
at 262-388-1403 to learn more.
5)Helpers are needed for running
powerpoint in chapel/weekend worship services (all
year long). If your 6th grade student (or older) would
like to do it, please contact me. There is a sign-up on the
church side of splgrafton.org under Servant Ministries and then
Media Ministry or go directly
at SignUp.com: http://signup.com/go/8Qfkxv .
With 5 services every weekend, there are many opportunities to
serve. The first couple times, it is helpful to have a parent sit
with them to assist if necessary. Powerpoints are used, but 10-15
minutes of training will explain the unique aspects of our setup
and things to be aware of in worship.
6) Playing piano/instrument for
worship is a great way to encourage students to
use their gifts for the Lord. Often classical pieces are
fine to use in worship or there many levels of piano books
with hymns and worship songs in them. Pieces should be practiced to
their very best so as to assist (not distract) in worship. I want
to encourage students of intermediate skill level or higher to aim
for playing in church. Students at an elementary skill level can
aim to play for chapel services. Please
contact Miss Bremer if you are interested - even if a piece isn't
ready or not even chosen yet!
