Fourth Grade — Mrs. Thiede

Week of January 20, 2019

18/19 Logo1.  Family Outing Idea: In social studies, we will be talking about life in Wisconsin in the early 1900s.  We are also learning about inventions that made life easier and more enjoyable.  Movies and theaters were just becoming popular.  In Wisconsin, there are many beautiful theaters that are still in existence.  The  Al Ringling Theatre in   Baraboo, Wisconsin, opened its doors in November 1915 and has been operating continuously ever since.  It is really a beautiful place.

2.  Open House for next year is Monday,  January 21.  Please see the Echo and website for details.

3.  The stories for the Delta Kappa Gamma contest are completed.  The project was very worthwhile.  Thank you for your help and support for this project.  The fourth graders will be sharing their story with kindergarteners in the next few weeks.

Registration forms are available in the school office now. Register is limited!

6.  Four eighth graders, who have been selected to participate in the L.E.A.D. organization, have created a service project. Our service project focuses on delicious ice-cream sundaes which supports the Ozaukee County K9 Unit. To participate in this event, purchase a ticket for a minimum donation of $1.00 before school on January 25, 28, and 29 by the trophy case in the South Wing. Once you have purchased a ticket, bring it to lunch on January 31 to receive your ice cream sundae! All donations directly support the Ozaukee County K9 Unit. (You can find more information about this organization on this link). Thank you for your support!

7.  All students will be singing on Sunday, January 27.  We are working on the song in school.  Please make this service a part of your worship schedule.  Those with last names beginning with letters L-Z will sing at the 9:30 service, while those with last names beginning A-K will sing at 11:00.  Thank you!  They will not need to meet in the Undercroft prior to the beginning of the service.
