Once again, our party is this Friday, December 21st.  All of the PreK classes will have a day in their own rooms filled with different Christmas activities.    Please send a $5.00 gift for our exchange. Thanks for your help!

St. Paul will be hosting a Preschool/Kindergarten Information Night on January 9th. Getting Ready ... Jesus is Coming

This week our theme is "Getting Ready for Christmas." We will be introduced to the letter J for Jesus. We will continue with Christmas projects and activities. We will be practicing our Christmas songs for our service. A note was sent home with the words for the songs. Music for these songs can be found on this link    /school/academics/classes/musicchoir/christmas-services

Remember there is a practice this Friday, December 14th, for our Christmas service.

Practice is from 8:15-9:00 a.m..

THERE ARE NOT NORMAL CLASS SESSIONS THIS DAY.  Each session only meets for 45 minutes.

Our Christmas service is this coming SUNDAY, December 16th. Children need to be in their classroom 15 minutes before the service. The children will process in and sit with their class.  Please meet your child back in their classroom after the service.  It is much easier to find you there rather than in the church.

We will have our Christmas party on  Friday, Dec. 21st.  Please remember to send along a $5.00 gift for our gift exchange. Please label your gift as to if it's for a boy, girl, or either. For example "to a boy, FROM.. (and your child's name)." You can bring them in anytime. We have already started collecting them.

St. Paul will be hosting a Preschool/Kindergarten Information Night on January 9th. We will be sharing the unique program that St. Paul has to offer and teachers will be available for you to talk to answer any questions that you may have regarding curriculum or classes.

Christmas Around the World

Thank you to all for your support on the Cookie Walk. There were so many amazing cookies! Thanks for your efforts during this busy time of the year. The walk was so successful and I am grateful!

We had lots of fun with our gingerbread cookies this past week. Thank you to those who helped with projects! We love love love decorating out houses and little men. Watch for them on display in the display case in the upcoming months!

Please continue to add stickers to the Advent calendar that your child brought home.

This week we will begin our preparations for Christmas. We will learn about what other countries do to celebrate Christmas. We will also begin to decorate our classroom and make ornaments to make our tree look special for Jesus' Birthday. We will be practicing our Christmas songs for our service. A note was sent home last week with the words for the songs. Music for these songs can be found on this link   /school/academics/classes/musicchoir/christmas-services

Our Bible lesson is "Jesus is Born." God cares for us so much that He sent Jesus to save all people from their sins.

Remember there is a practice on Friday, December 14th, for our Christmas service.

The AM has practice from 8:15-9:00 a.m.

Gingerbread

I hope all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving. Thank you for the many donations and help at our feasts. We couldn't have done it without you.

Our theme this week is "Gingerbread." We will be introduced to the letter "G". On Monday we will read "The Gingerbread Baby" and make real gingerbread dough. Tuesday we will roll it out and bake them. Please don't tell your child, but our cookies just might jump off the pan and run away like in our story. Fortunately, they will find their way back to the pan on Wednesday and we will frost and eat them.

We will be making an Advent Calendar to take home this week. You should start putting the stickers on the Christmas tree on Saturday, December 1st so that your family can count down the days until Jesus' Birthday.  Everyday, add one sticker ornament. On the 25th, put the star on and it will be Jesus' birthday.

Sunday, December 9th is the Jesus is the Reason for the Season Breakfast. It runs from 8:30am-10:30am in our Family Life Center.  Join us in fellowship to celebrate Jesus' Birthday. There will be a free will offering collected.

Our Bible lesson this week is "God Gets Ready to Send a Savior." God kept His promise to send a messenger who would prepare people to receive His Son as their Savior from sin. God also keeps His promises to us.

Each class will be having a Christmas party on  Friday, December 21st.  During the parties, we will be having a gift exchange between the children.  Girls are asked to bring a girl's gift and boys are asked to bring a boy's gift. Please spend around $5.00. The gifts should be labeled "girl" or "boy" and who they are from to avoid any confusion.  They may be brought in at any time before the party.  We will need just a few things for the party. I will send home a note in the near future.

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Thank you to all of you for the Thanksgiving Feast donations. We truly appreciate the items and the help. St. Paul Lutheran School has a Thanksgiving break the week of November 19th-23rd.  Enjoy this time with your families.  Rejoice in all of your blessings!
