Age 4 Pre-K: Five Day

Weekly Update

April 15-April 19, 2024 “Things with Wings”

We spent our week learning about oviparous animals. We played a fun game where the students had to guess what animal or insect laid the egg. We talked about the life cycle of a chicken and about incubating chicken eggs soon. We revisited the letters we’ve learned so far and even got to go outside to enjoy some of the warm weather this week. Our Bible lessons were about the road to Emmaus, doubting Thomas, and Jesus’ Ascension.

Next week we will be learning about different animals and insects that have wings. We will learn how their wings help them fly and move about. Our letter focus for the week will be Ww. We will practice making the sound and writing it. During our Bible lessons we will talk about the coming of the Holy Spirit and a man who could not walk.

It’s hard to believe that there are about 30 days left in our school year for PreK. This year has gone so fast and the students have learned so much. It’s been fun watching them grow! During our final month we will be busy preparing for our day with Mom as well as practicing for when we sing at church on Mother’s Day. We will also be learning about the last few letters that we have left in the alphabet. Please make sure to pay attention to some important dates listed below. We will wrap up our final week of school with a field trip. For those that have a summer birthday, we will also celebrate that the last week of school with an ice cream party. In May, watch for a sign up for items needed for that celebration.
