Baby Layette Project 2009

Lutheran World Relief -- The ingathering of items to send overseas will occur in October.  
Reach out to others by putting together any of the following kits.
When you clean, set aside those baby items no longer used. All items need to be clean and in good repair. New items may also be purchased. Mark your contributions ―Layettes and bring them to the reception/school office. The following items are needed for each Baby Layette
2 T-shirts/onesies
2 Medium Weight Footed Sleepers
2 Receiving Blankets
1 Sweater
2 Washcloths
1 Bar Ivory Soap in Wrapper
4 Cloth Diapers
2 Diaper Pins
In addition to layettes and quilts, other kits are needed.
School Kits
3  - 70 sheet spiral notebooks
1  - blunt scissors
1  - 12 inch ruler
1  - pencil sharpener
6  - No 2 unsharpened pencils
1  - eraser
12- sheets assorted construction paper
1  - box 16 or 24 crayons
Health Kits
1 hand towel & 1 washcloth (dark colors preferred)
1 bar soap (bath size in wrapper)
1 comb (wide teeth
1 toothbrush (in pkg)
1 metal nail file or clippers
6 bandaids
Sewing Kits
3 yds cotton fabric
1 pkg needles-handsewing
1 spool matching thread
1 card--6 or more buttons
Place the above completes kits in a grocery type bag and bring to the reception/school office.
There is also a need for cloth bags to be sewn for the school kits.  For a pattern, contact Dorothy Monson at 377-4659

Play 60......Grades 5-8 begins

Parents help your student keep active the next 28 days. Do some physical activities with them and they can record it in their game planner book. Form and Fitness will give out rewards to the top class and the top individuals for obtaining the most active minutes. Our hope is that the family start a fitness plan schedule. The Green Bay Packers (What Moves U Challenge) and the American Heart Association have made this available to us.
