Lutheran World Relief -- The ingathering of items to send overseas will occur in October.  

Reach out to others by putting together any of the following kits.

 

When you clean, set aside those baby items no longer used. All items need to be clean and in good repair. New items may also be purchased. Mark your contributions ―Layettes and bring them to the reception/school office. The following items are needed for each Baby Care Kit (Layettes).
2 light wt Cotton T-Shirts
2 Gowns or Sleepers

   (without feet)

2 Receiving Blankets

   (up to 52" square each)

2 Pair of socks
1 Jacket, Sweater or

   sweatshift w/hood or

   include a baby cap
1 Hand Towel (dark color preferred) 
1 Bar Ivory Soap in Wrapper
4 Cloth Diapers

2 Diaper Pins

 

Sizes up to 24 months may

be included.  Vary the sizes

of the items to be more useful

as the baby grows.

 

In addition to layettes and quilts, other kits are needed.

 

4  - 70 sheet spiral notebooks

1  - blunt scissors

1  - ruler with inches/centimeters

1  - pencil sharpener

5  - No 2 unsharpened pencils

1  - eraser

5  - Ballpoint Pens

1  - box 16 or 24 crayons

 

1 Bath size Towel (dark color preferred)

2 Bath size bars of soap (wrapper)

1 Sturdy Come

1 Adult Toothbrush (in pkg)

1 metal nail clippers

 

2 pcs Cotton/Cotton blend 

Yardage needed for each piece,

according

4 yds--36" wide

3 yds--44" wide

2 1/4 yds--60" wide

Plus--2 spools of matching thread

 

All new Bath size Bars in

their original wrapper.

 

Place the above complete kits in a plastic grocery type bag and bring to the reception/school office.
