 Beverly Brueggemann Minimize

Beverly’s teaching career spans 35 years in both public and parochial schools in the area with an emphasis on Fifth Grade and Middle School. She has been at St. Paul for 24 years and has taught Sixth Grade for the last 16 years. In 2005, she was nominated for Teacher of the Year. She has an Associate Arts degree from Concordia Junior College, Ann Arbor, Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Beverly enjoys gardening, and arts and crafts of all kinds.

“I believe that children should be given the opportunity to grow from a Christian perspective in their relationship with their Lord, their family, their peers and their response to the world around them. My responsibility is to teach in a Christ-centered classroom as well as to strive to lead by Christian example."

 Jeremy Kell Minimize

In his tenth year as a teacher, Jeremy is a member of the Middle School staff, teaching Science for Grades Fifth to Eight.  His mission is to give his students a good understanding of the Earth, Life and Physical Sciences. He encourages students to become involved at school and strives to make school a place where they like to be. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Secondary Education from Concordia University, Mequon, WI.

In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.

“I want to provide the best Christ-centered education I can with the resources available to me.  In as many classes as possible, I try to incorporate hands-on activities because I believe students better understand what they can touch and see. One of my goals is to help students develop a love for science and to see how important it is to their life and their faith.”

 Kevin Kolander Minimize

In his 24 year teaching career Kevin has, at different times, taught Grades Three through Eight. He is presently teaching English for Grades Five to Eighth in our Middle School program and is developing a comprehensive writing and grammar curriculum for those grade levels. He also serves as assistant athletic director and assistant principal. A graduate of Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Kevin also has a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin.

“As a Christian teacher, it is my purpose to bring glory, honor and praise to my Lord by the life I lead and to build up, empower and encourage children of God to grow closer in their walk with Christ, and to assist those in my school family to maximize their blessings as an expression of thanks and praise to our Savior.”

 Diane Schumann Minimize

Diane has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University, Mequon, WI, and 21 years of experience.  For the last decade, she has specialized in teaching Middle School.  She is presently teaching math and art in a departmentalized setting for Fifth to Eight Grades and is the Eighth Grade homeroom teacher.  One of Diane’s goals is to help her students realize that Math is a useful tool in everyday situations. She also enjoys teaching Art and serving as co-editor of the school yearbook.

At home, Diane enjoys spending time with her husband and children, working in her flower gardens, listening to music, sewing and walking her dogs.

“All children have different learning styles and it’s my responsibility to find out how each child learns best…While it is important to reach students academically, it is equally important to help them grow socially strong and emotionally stable...And the ability to reach a student on a spiritual level is the most awesome part of teaching.”
